Alex is more than just a trainer! He is the Regional Director for CILT International www.cilt-international.com) for UAE & GCC Region. CILT-UAE is the national council for CILT International in UAE based in Dubai (www.cilt-international.com).
Mr. Borg is a chartered trainer and consultant in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, graduated in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (C.I.P.S.) in Stamford, and, in Stores and Inventory Management from the College of Professional Management in Jersey U.K. He also holds an internationally recognized qualification in Logistics Management awarded by CILT International.
Alex Borg has been involved in training activities since 1994, where he was entrusted by the Employment and Training Corporation (www.etc.gov.mt) to design and deliver innovative professional development programs in various areas related to logistics and supply-chain management.
In 1997, after becoming a Member of the Institute of Management (www.maltamanagement.com), Mr. Borg was entrusted once again by the said Institute to deliver different management programs.
Today Mr. Borg forms part of various training organizations in Malta such as; ETC /MCAST/MIM/ Malta Enterprise/ Chamber of Engineers/ Freeport Training Institute / Foundation for Educational Services/ GS1 Malta and other local and foreign institutions.
Alex Borg is a qualified Procurement and Supply –Chain Professional with extensive hands-on buying and Logistics management experience within complex, rapidly changing, cost-conscious and customer service environments.
A self-motivated individual with proven ability to work with front to end users in developing effective procurement and contract and supply chain strategies, whilst developing strong partnerships with suppliers in the implementation and enhancement of outsourcing programs.
Accustomed to managing all levels of expenditure; using best practice methods; management of negotiations; contract formation, implementation and category management; supplier appraisal schemes; forward scheduling, hands-on knowledge WMS and the management of procurement and supply chain operations
With over 20 years working experience, today Mr. Borg is involved in various consultancy projects and assignments after being entrusted by various public and private organizations in different European Countries, North African Countries, the Middle East / Gulf Region and South East Asia.
